MassMutual Center directions

Address: 1277 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01103. Use the entrance at the corner of Dwight Street and Bruce Landon Way. The box office is 413-787-6600.massmutualcenter

You didn’t say where you’re starting, so I’ve assumed Philadelphia. The Philadelphia section is general routing I haven’t checked against live traffic. The exit-by-exit directions come from the venue’s own page.

From Philadelphia (about 4 hours)

Option A: I-95 and I-91 through Connecticut

1. Take I-95 North through New Jersey (via the NJ Turnpike) and into New York.

2. Continue on I-95 North along the Connecticut coast to New Haven.

3. Take I-91 North through Hartford toward Springfield.

4. Cross into Massachusetts and follow the I-91 North directions below.

Option B: I-84 and I-91 (inland)

1. Take the NJ Turnpike and I-287 North to the Hudson River crossing (Mario Cuomo Bridge).

2. Continue on I-87 North, then take I-84 East.

3. Follow I-84 East to Hartford, then take I-91 North to Springfield.

4. Follow the I-91 North directions below.

Option A is usually simpler. Option B can avoid congestion near New York City and the Connecticut coast. Check live traffic before you leave.

Arriving by highway

Northbound on I-91 (from Hartford and Connecticut)

1. Take Exit 5 (formerly Exit 6, Springfield Center) onto East Columbus Avenue.

2. Go about ¼ mile to Court Street and turn right.

3. Pass Symphony Hall, City Hall and the MassLive building.

4. The venue is at the corner of Court and Main Streets, across from Court Square.

Southbound on I-91 (from Vermont and Northampton)

1. Take Exit 5B (formerly Exit 7, Hall of Fame Ave/Downtown/Springfield).

2. Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp.

3. Circle under the highway and go straight through one light.

4. Turn right at the second light onto Main Street.

5. The venue is at 1277 Main Street.

Westbound on I-90 (Mass Pike, from Boston and Worcester)

1. Take Exit 51 (formerly Exit 6) toward Route 291.

2. On Route 291, take the Dwight Street exit.

3. Turn left at the end of the ramp and follow Dwight Street to the venue.

Eastbound on I-90 (Mass Pike, from Albany and the Berkshires)

1. Take Exit 45 (formerly Exit 4) onto I-91 South.

2. Follow the southbound I-91 directions above.

I-291: Take the Dwight Street exit. Turn left at the end of the ramp and follow Dwight Street to the venue.

I-391 and Route 20: The venue’s page gives no directions for these. From I-391, the simplest approach is to merge onto I-91 South and follow the southbound directions. From Route 20, use the closest I-91 or I-291 approach above.

Parking

• Convention Center Carpark: It is next to the venue and open to the public. Its entrances and exits are on Harrison Avenue and Dwight Street.

• MGM Springfield: Parking is free and about 3,400 spaces are available. Anyone under 21 can’t walk through the casino floor, so skip this garage if you’re bringing minors.

• Paid garages within walking distance:

  • I-91 South Garage, 1620 East Columbus Ave

  • Tower Square Garage, 1758 East Columbus Ave

  • I-91 North Garage, 1870 East Columbus Ave

  • Taylor Street Garage, 33 Taylor St

  • Sheraton Monarch Place Garage, 36 Boland Way

• Accessible parking: It is on Court Street, Dwight Street and State Street. The area around the venue is under construction, so availability can change.
